You do have to be firm but be cordial about it. You don't want to start a war. Have you considered an A list and B list?

after 10 yrs together there is nothing cordial but the cherries...

my FH's mom just told me we can't possibly limit a wedding to 200 guest. Apparently she wants to invite all of long island. I can relate. My advise to you is to do an A B list but remind your husband that you gave your family a cut off amount also. You can add that you told your family that if they wanted to go over they would have to contribute more--not really a lie but he will get the point.

my fi added a butt load of people from his work, while i didnt invite anyone from work...its annoying, but i feel like he really wants them there, so i will be happy to meet them at the wedding lol.

as far as tom cruise goes, he really is a wacko. this whole scientology thing is so cult-like. for more info, you can check out this website...

I am right there with you... every day I ask my FI who else he invited. The other day he had a smart a$$ response ... he said he invited Mr Samson. I was like who the hell is that. His response? 'The man who picked up my metrocard for me when I dropped it in the station.' The problem is he probably did invite him.

Soooo, I told him we are def. doing an A and B list. I'll just start praying about the situation from now.

My FH does the same thing. It really ticks me off. Im like okay...you haven't talked to this person in how many years. 'but when we were in high school we were really good friends' He's 22 high school was four years ago...get over it!! I just say no. He gets pi**y and says yes...but I do all the planning, he will have no idea. Besides...I know it's not like he's going to get the addresses around!
