Any 4th grade teachers on here?

I'm considering changing grades next year, I currently teach 3rd & wanted to know the pros/cons. Do you enjoy it? Are the kids very mouthy? Personally I LOVE 3rd.....

I did fouth my first year and loved it. I found them to be a great age group, I loved the curriculum and although there are a lot of tests it's not too bad.

I actually have some of them again now, as eighth graders, and NOW they are mouthy and fresh!

The state tests are a HUGE CON!!!!

We 4th grade teachers spend 75% of our year just doing test prep.

The age isnt too bad.....my kids are very immature still. I do like the 4th grade curriculum though- New York State is what we teach for SS ...the math isnt too hard but its hard to teach....kids dont get long division or fractions/decimals very well just yet
