I really love the shoes I bought for my dress but..
I am starting to think they are going to be too low. They have a 2 1/2 inch heel. FH says I should have gotten something higher and I could always change into slippers after... I guess I could go buy another pair.. but then I'm left with the shoes that I bought, what will I do with them? Did any of you decide to go with a higher heel after purchasing something low?

Why did FH say you should have gotten something higher? They're pretty shoes and like the others said, you have to be comfy. I'm not sure what to do with shoes, Fh is way taller than me so I need a higher heel but don't want to be dying all day.

Re: I really love the shoes I bought for my dress but..
I wore flats (not low, flat like 1/8 of a heel) and my DH is about a foot taller than me. I danced all night thought and my feet didn't hurt 1 bit.

Re: I really love the shoes I bought for my dress but..
Seems you bought these because you thought they would be comfortable and like the way they look. I would stick with them. Otherwise you are going to try to shop for another pair and try to these for another 1/2 inch?

if you get higher heels and then change into flats, you're going to have 3 inches of your dress dragging on the floor during the reception. not fun!mine are only 1 inch and i'm very happy with them. i need to be able to dance and walk all day!

Unless you usually wear 3 inch + heels everyday, I would stick with what you have. Comfort is key.

Re: I really love the shoes I bought for my dress but..
why would he say you need higher heels?Keep in mind that you have to stand still for about 30 minutes for the ceremony, and the higher the heel, the more pressure it puts on the balls of your feet, which will make them HURT by the time you're done, especially as most dress shoes have little or no padding in the soles.
I'm keeping my heels under 2 inches, probably around 1 inch for this reason. It also makes it simpler for me to take them off and wear slippers at the reception if I don't have to worry about the dress being the right length both for slippers and high heels.

I used to wear 3 inch heels all the time and for the wedding mine are 2 inch heels.Comfort was over vanity in this case!!! This is one time you DON'T want to risk your feet killing you!!

summer bride has a good point, but if you really aren't happy, sell them and find something you will like better.

I think those shoes will be great. Your feet may get tired on you with higher heels is better to think about comfort also.I really like those shoes.
