Eternity band ladies, question for you...
my normal size is 5 3/4, so my jewler ordered the ring (no diamonds set yet) I went to try it on, it was kind of loose, no to a point that the ring will fall off, but it was sliding a little.. and my jewler said after the stones are set and the ring is polished, it will go up 1/2 size bigger... so he suggested that he'll order me a 5 1/4 to set the stones, after it's done and polished, it will be 5 1/2
... now, my fingers are very finicky.. depending on the temperture, foods I eat, it swells up a little.. so I am afraid that 5 1/2 might be too tight during the summer months.
what should I do? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
(sorry so long!)

Re: Eternity band ladies, question for you...
i ordered a quarter size bigger than usual because you can't size the ring down once it is made. so hopefully the extra quarter size will be enough to last me through the years!!

Re: Eternity band ladies, question for you...
I would go with the larger ring. If it's too loose they can put balls in the band - they did this for my engagement ring. You don't even feel them, and if it's too tight in the summer or I pack on a few pounds they just have to pop the balls out.

Re: Eternity band ladies, question for you...
I don't know, my e-ring was too big (size 5) so I had it sized (my e-ring is eternity, too). I listened to my FMIL who said "Get it a little bigger because your fingers will swell as you get older" so I had it sized to a 4.75 (instead of a 4.5) and it would never fall off but it's loose and everyone always comments on how it looks loose. So FH ordered a 4.5 for the eternity wedding band but came and it's a little bigger than a 4.5, I assumed because with the diamonds it's hard to get it exact. One jewler told me he could make it in between 2 sizes if I needed. I think jewelers can do anything - I would think if you got it smaller they could resize it by adding a stone to it. I have the smae thing with my fingers in the summer, but in the winter my ring is REALLY loose so I'd rather it be a little tight in the summer than falling off, which is what I have now. They can't put the balls in my ring because the inside is open to let the light in.

Re: Eternity band ladies, question for you...
We ordered my eternity band a little bigger than my normal size, because, the setting is pave, and will not be able to be resized, and God knows what is going to happen to my body after children. Better safe!

Re: Eternity band ladies, question for you...
I would have your jeweler put those "beads" in it. My jeweler actually recommended this because my fingers go up and down in size so much. They basically hold the ring in place when your fingers are skinnier, and won't cut off your circulation when your fingers swell a bit. In addition, they can be melted down in the future if your ring size ever goes up (since the ring cannot be re-sized.)
HTH!
