RP from BHB: In which shop did you have GOOD experiences with alterations for Bridal Gown and BridesMaid Dresses?

HI There-
Hoping some of the recent brides might be able to help me out with some advice/feedback here:

I'm getting freaked out by people's horror stories on alterations that are done poorly, that are not completed until the night before the wedding, or that the shop made snags or runs in the dresses.

If you have had good experiences with well-done alterations done in a professional, timely manner, could you please tell me where?

I'm curious specifically about the Bridal Garden in Bethpage, Renate's in Lindenhurst, and Burton's in Melville.....but just want to get a general idea of where might be a good place to go.

Are you only looking in LI..
I have had all my bm dresses done in Queens.. I will give you the info if you are interested.. they do great work..

I had a fantastic experience with my bridal salon and the women who did the alterations was FANTASTIC...it was Helen's Bridal in Commack. FM me if you'd like more info, there's also some info in my review...good luck!

We had a terrible experience with Burtons for BM dresses but a great experience with the place I ordered my gown in. My shop even ended up working on my BM gowns in the end as well.

I got my dress from Burtons Bridal in Melville.....very helpful, great alterations and unbelievable prices

My bridesmaid dresses were from Helen's in Commack....they also did a great job and had reasonable prices......one of my bm is actually using them for her wedding after the good experience we had with mine.

I almost bought my dress from Bridal Garden in Bethpage but I found it cheaper at Burtons. Bridal Garden seemed great also and the service there was outstanding. I think my sister ordered a bridesmaid dress from there for another wedding she was in and had a good experience.
