Hi! I know it has been a while since I have been on here...just so busy with long distance planning and moving to our house soon! :) BTW, we did close without any problems.... I finally got my invited all out...such a relief. Did every one else for the July 4th weekend mail their's out? Just curious... A little more than 2 months...boy time flies. I remember starting here last December of 2000 thinking I had so much time. Now I sit and think where did it all go? lol, pretty much the general census I am sure. :) Take care...good luck Nancy PS Looking forward to ARUBA!! ;)

July 4th bride update...

My invites went out a week ago (I have gotten back 25 out of 100 responses already!)!! I went for my first fitting last Monday. I am ordering some stuff to do a trial on some favors. I got my shoes (red, white & blue!!) and my purse (beaded american flag) and my tiara all this week! Lot's more to do! Good luck!!

July 4th bride update...

I just got an invitation for a July 3rd wedding. It seems like every bride follows the same timeline! :-)

Val-

I forgot...I had my dress fitting on April 16th. Everything went well so far. I have had my shoes since last May (sale at Sears,) but no purse just yet! Also, Fredricks in Buffalo has the Red, White, and Blue garter....;) Good luck! No responses yet...but I sent them Friday and most were sent to LI from Buffalo and then have to return! Praying for just enough to come back (not too many and not too few.)

Nancy....

I am going to the mall tonight... we have a Frederick`s in Massapequa Mall... maybe they will have the red, white & blue garter! I am trying to come up with something cute as a favor... Any ideas? One I saw was 2 inch terracota pots painted like flags with a candle in them & attaching a couple of sparklers with red, silver & blue ribbon (1/4 inch ribbon) with the boxes of matches with our names & date on them. I ordered a few from oriental trading to see how I like the pots!

Val- I am not doing too much with the 4th theme...but I do know that Michaels and Joanns has some nice small things that could be used as favors. I am sure they have Joanns in LI, but am not sure if Michaels is on LI...
