Is there life after wedding planning?
I can hardly remember what it was like to fall asleep without wondering what my pictures will look like, how my FH will look the 1st time seeing me, or what people will be dancing to at my wedding. I just realized now that everyday since Jay & I were engaged, my brain has been surrounded by shimmery tulle & flowers & favors & white shoes & flowergirl dresses, and I think I'm gonna be sad after it's all said & done.
I'm not a really anxious bridezilla (well, maybe except for 1 very tiny outburst about something
) and I love getting stuff from FedEx or UPS like when I ordered my FG dress & it arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I LOVE DIY projects & I have all of these great ideas in my head!! But I wonder what it's gonna be like after the honeymoon when the BM dresses are all hung up in closets & the makeup has been washed down the drain & I go back to normal life outside of wedding planning. I guess there'll still be the weeks after the wedding when I will get all giddy again. Like when Duet calls to tell me that my proofs are ready. Or when the video is ready from Wild Rose. Or when I come home & EVERYONE wants to hear about the honeymoon & Jay & I explain each picture over & over again. But still, I think I'm gonna miss going over all of the sparklie options for the BIG DAY!!!!
Ah, maybe I'm just homonal- But I'm glad I can at least vent to my computer screen knowing that somewhere just a few miles from where I am, there is another bride just like me who's staring right back at her screen doing the same thing I am doing. Checking in to the world of wedding planning & seeing how they're coming along with their planning.

Re: Is there life after wedding planning?
its definitely been an awesome time! i think part of me will miss planning, but mostly i will be too busy to think about it after! we are moving out of state and i am starting an intense grad program in school counseling at unc charlotte, so i think i will have a lot of other things on my mind! lol we went to 4 different walmarts yesterday for our candelabra centerpieces, and when we went to the last one, i was creeping around their candle shelves and when i saw what we were looking for i ran over like a kid in a candy shop and made a fist and pulled it down saying 'score'! my fi was laughing at me so bad! he said i was liek a kids running toward the tree on xmas morning! i couldnt help myself though, these little wedding relateed things bring me joy lol. ~lacey

Re: Is there life after wedding planning?
There are two things that I hope will occupy my time when I'm not obsessing over the little wedding details - first and foremost I need to find a new job. I would look now, but what job could I possibly get that would give me the ENTIRE month of October off with pay???? (my vacation time is the best perk of this job). Second, it will be time to start obsessing about having a
