Recommend a person to cut my hair

I've been using the same person for a long time but I may want to give someone new a try. Please ONLY recommend someone who will not chop off my very long hair! If I go to a new person, I only want a trim, but I'm picky and they have to know how to make it very even. TIA. Hopefully in or near Commack.

Kerie...I go to Cactus in Commack on Vanderbilt Parkway near the Bonwit Inn. Melanie P. is the best! She cuts, colors, etc. Love her! There is another Mel there; this one is Melanie Pekarek.

You MUST go to Celestial Hair Gallery on Terry road in Smithtown. Jodi or Jack for a cut, Vinny for color- TRUST ME

I recommend Leslie at Cactus in Mayfair. She will do what you ask her to, and she gives me the BEST haircuts and color.

If you're willing to go to Woodbury I have a great person I've used for 3 years.

Pick one close you to..give it a try. They all come recommended so I doubt you will have a nightmare in your hands. Good luck.

STEVEN MELITO-- owner of and hair stylist at Melito International Salon (recently renovated and he changed the name to Sivannah). It is in St. James on Lake Avenue.

He gives me, consistently, the best haircuts I have ever had in my life. I switched from a guy I loved in the beginning but then wasn't so happy with as time went on to him on a friend's recommendation and it was the best decision I ever made. He listens to me, when I don't want too much cut off he doesn't cut too much off...

I absolutely love him and he is so talented. My sister gets her hair cut by him too since I referred her to him-- she has also had him do color before. He is fantastic, there is nothing more I can say-- just fantastic!

I have used Melanie P for 12 years....she is awesome!!! She will do exactly what you want, and she will be honest with you if what you want is not good for your face or if it is a lot of work for upkeep. FM me for more info!

i go to Salon Di Domani in Copiague. Ask for Christina, she's the owner. I only go to people who themselves have great hair and Christina has long gorgeous hair. I trust her completely. Dont know the address but the # is 631.842.2243
