Princess cut engagement rings...

what does your wedding band look like? Are you getting diamonds, if so are you getting round or princess cut? My engagement ring is princess cut diamond with baguettes (sp?) on the sides. I am having trouble finding a wedding band I like.

Princess cut engagement rings...

My engagement ring is a round solitaire, with 3 princess cut, channel set diamonds on each side. I am getting a wedding band with (I think) 8 princess cut, channel set diamonds in it.

I had the same problem and found a matching band ...

My e-ring is a princess cut diamond with a setting of two princess diamonds on the each side and two baguettes (sp, too?) on the side of the smaller princess diamonds. I couldn't find a band for the life of me ... but found one in tri-county (I couldn't believe it)! It's a plat. setting band with round stones and bars in between each diamond ... it's so hard to explain. But it matches perfectly ... and I love it. I wish I could show it to you! It took me about 8 months to find and I would never have looked at a round setting, but I showed the salesperson my ring and asked her to match it. I think all the settings I looked at were wrong from the start! Email me if you need more info .. [email protected]

Thanks Cira. I did find a ring that seems similar except that it was diamond, bar, baguette, bar, etc. One problem was that is was two rows which was way to big for my finger so I couldn't get a good feel for it. I was also wondering if it was bad to get round when my main stone was square. It seemed to look ok but I didn't know if it was just me giving up hope of finding the perfect ring. Thanks for sharing you experience and letting me know I wasn't the only one going crazy out there. If you have a picture let me know because I would love to see yours.

Princess cut engagement rings... ~NJ

My engagement ring is pear shaped with 3 princess cut diamonds channel set on each side of it, and my wedding band has 6 princess cut diamonds channel set, each seperated by a piece of white gold. Sounds like we have very similiar taste! : )

I had the same problem

My engagement ring is a princess cut with baguettes on either side. I've tried many different styles already but have not seem to find one I love. We've been to only one place (where he got my e-ring from) and she is willing to make any style I want. She has a Plat. band with round/baguette/round/etc. with a bar between each stone(totaling 7 stones). This ring is a option, what do u think? My other option would be getting all princess cut diamonds with bar between each stone (totaling 7 stones) which she is gonna make for me. I was thinking if I can't match it perfectly with my e-ring, i'll wear the e-ring on my ring hand. Both rings would look wonderful by itself.

Sounds like we have similar rings and styles. I think both sound nice. I think I like the diamond, baguette with bars. I am starting to think I should go with that too ...maybe all the way around. Not sure about that yet. From reading this post I am more comfortable with the idea of getting a wedding band with round stones.

Bridetobe and Winnie ...

that's exactly my ring but it's not two rows, just the one and it looks great. I forgot that there were baguettes in between the bars too. YOu can't even tell that they are round stones because they are in between the bars and for the same diamond in princess cut cost so much more and really not that noticeable! I was searching for a princess cut band to match and hated each one with my e-ring .. I loved the way that this looked and am so happy that I got it! Bridetobe, I don't have a scanner at home anymore, but I'll try to get a picture for you! :-) I also got a plain band with a tiffany setting (5 diamonds scattered in front) for a plain ring - something to wear to the gym, on vacation, gardening etc ... ! :-)

thanks cira

it's true that the price for a round stone is less than the princess stones. My jeweler said it will cost me more to get princess diamond stud earrings than round diamond studs. When it tried the round/baguette band on it looked great with my ring, am i being too picky because I'd rather have princess cut diamonds on the band to match my e-ring? cira, it's true that you can't really tell that the round stones are in between the plat. bars. Now i'm thinking if i'm better off with that ring than just a princess cut ring?

winnie ...

I think that if the ring looks great together than it doesn't matter. I also think that the square diamonds will be to small that it won't make a difference in the way the ring will look. But I do think that for diamond stud earrings, I would definitely go with the princess cut. That makes a difference and I told my FH that is what I want for my next big gift ... I'm soooo spoiled! :-) We all are !

I'm alittle worried too but the weather forecasters still can't predict weather for the next day right so why would they know how it's gonna be in two months. I feel really good about that day so I'm just praying that it won't rain. Are you all set with all the wedding details? I still have to pick my flowers and still waiting for 1/2 to RSVP, huh! Then we'll make an appointment to pick out the menu.

Winnie ...

I know .. I had a good feeling about that day too when we booked! But this almanac thing is bugging me! :-( Are you a day or night-time affair? Ours is in the day! We are doing all our running around this month. Going to the florist - I know what I want, but he is making a sample centerpiece for us. I don't know what my bouquet will look like yet! We are waiting for 1/2 our responses too - and our rsvp date is May 14 - go figure! We'll be making a lot of calls. And then we'll do the menu about 1 month before too! It's coming together. I still need to print and tie the programs together! Then the seating arrangements! That'll be fun! It'll be here soon!

Cira ...

Ours is an evening affair. The ceremony starts at 6:30 then cocktail and reception to follow. It's gonna be a busy month for us too. What florist are you using? We're using Burtons, they were highly recommended by LIWEDDING brides. Our RSVP date is May 10th and i'm sure i'll be making lots of phone calls. What's with some of these people, like we have nothing better to do but to call to see if they're going or not, huh. I gave them 5 weeks to RSVP and still 1/2 didn't respond yet. Did Westbury Manor give you a tasting? Woodbury doesn't do tastings so I'm not sure what to choose. I'm just praying everything goes smoothly on our wedding day. I'm getting nervous as I think about it. I still haven't figure what we are gonna do with favors, did u? Have any ideas for me?
