Hey.. Sorry to jump on your board but......

I remember this time last year.. For me, my wedding seemed really far away. I just want to say that although it may seem really far now... once you hit the 6 month mark.. time is going to fly SO FRIGGEN FAST!!

I started my countdown at 778 days.. I am now down to 100 days left. I just want to let you girls know that its not too early to get anything done... even the smallest little things like buying wedding rice, garter belts & placecard holders. Those are the things you should get out of the way now because you are going to have so many things to do in your final months of preperation, the smallest things like that would not even be a thought in your minds!!! (Oh and would be so easy to forget!!)

So anyway.. I just want to wish you girls all the best of luck with your planning. Enjoy the free time you may have now because things will get really hectic as your day creeps up.

Oh yeah and 1 more thing.. Try to register as late as possible. My mistake was registering too early (1 year before my wedding date) I cant even tell you how many times my FH & I had to go back to Fortunoff & BBBY to change things because items have been discontinued.

janie - thanks for the great advice!!!! I was debating to register now (and FMIL is DYING for me to register) but I wanted to wait a while - now that you mentioned that - IM WAITING!!!

It's crazy how fast time goes by. I booked all the major vendors already and was thinking 'Should I relax or start working on the smaller things'

I agree with Registering also. I hear so many stories of that happening.

Well said Janie. I wish I had 100 days, but I only have 24 days-3 1/2 weeks More time would be perfect right now. When I got engaged I thought I had all the time in the world & then HELLO-all of a sudden it is here. I waitied until 5 months before the wedding to register & it was the best thing I did. Good luck 07ers your day will be here before you know it!

Thank you so much for this post!! I started my countdown around that same number and I keep thinking how far away it is and how much I can't wait to be married. Everyone always say you have so much time and it urks me the wrong way sometime because that doesn't mean I can't be planning now. Thanks again!!

Thank you so much for your advice... I hesistate sometimes about how much wedding planning to get done mostly because some of my friends think it's insane to get so much done ahead of time. But early planning and good research totally pays off --- right?

awww Janie thanks so much for thinking of us It's good to hear that time will start flying soon because right now it seems to be going at a snails's pace for me. and it's really good to hear that I'm not crazy if I start getting a lot of things done now because everytime i try to book something or buy things i won't need for awhile i have to hear from multiple people that I'm doing things too fast...and that can get annoying after awhile lol. thanks so much for the great advice

Awwww....you are so sweet!!! Thanks for the advice.......I know exactly what you mean! I'm trying to get the little things out of the way as I remember them. I remember in college I used to be a big procrastinator when it came down to tests or papers, but I have to say, I'm very proud of myself for this wedding planning!!!

Thank you so much for your advice - I am going to try to do all the little things and get them out of the way...some people think I am crazy - but I would rather get the small details that I don't want to forget done & out of the way! I know it is going to get overwhelming because I know for myself I am feeling like that now...but trying to enjoy every moment of the whole wedding process! Thanks again for your advice.
