Repost BHB: Bachelorette Party Drama

After having the horrible day I had today it only gets worse. I found out today that my MOH reserved and paid for 10 people for my bachelorette party and 2 have backed out already (1 being my friend at work who no longer wants to be my friend....I posted about this earlier). The tickets are non-refundable.

I am beginning to realize that some people are just so selfish. I haven't had much drama related to my wedding until recently when I started to get RSVP's with stupid excuses as to why family (who I would expect to be there) aren't coming (ex. a pre-school graduation at 9 in the morning). Family and friends just have a way of ruining the what is supposed to be the most exciting, best day of your life. But I guess those people aren't as close as you thought they were to begin with.

At this point, with 3 weeks to go, I can't wait for this wedding to be over and tell people to just go 'F' themselves. I am constantly going out of my way for others, thinking about others feelings, and trying to be the best friend I can be. And yet I feel like I am constantly getting sh*t on. Some people are just so unbelievable.

I told my mother earlier on the phone that I can't wait for my wedding to be over to write off the jack asses in our family and that I will never have a big party like this again.

I can't wait for this day to be over!!!!!!!!

Hey sorry to hear! but a pre-school graduation is pretty impt.

Just think about the people who are coming and don't think about the negative aspects.

I fully understand your anger! We had a nearly 50% no rate. We began to focus on those that wanted to celebrate with us. I didn't miss a damn person on the wedding day and enjoyed myself with those there.

We had a 40% no rate AND about 8 no shows the day of!!!

You just get to a point about a month to 2 weeks before the wedding where you say screw everyone, to hell with it, I don't care what happens!!!! Because you waste so much energy peing pissed off and doing things for others, that when they don't come through in return, you say fine, now I know where I stand!!!

Things will get better, I promise!!! Just keep those people in mind when they have parties they invite you to, and that's when you say 'I can't make it, I have to walk my dog that afternoon!!!'
