TITLE: Liaison to the Board of Governors

ORGANIZATION: Association

LOCATION: Manhattan

PAY RANGE: 40-45k

REPORTS TO: Manager, Office of the CEO

SUMMARY:

The liaison to the Board of Governors provides administrative support to the office of the CEO and the Board of Governors. This person is responsible for the smooth coordination of daily operations, designing and revising procedures for greater efficiency, and shares responsibility for major projects in the office of the CEO. Additionally, this person is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing activities that support the staff, the board and seven board committees.

DESCRIPTION:
" Liaison between office of the CEO and the Board of Governors.
" Makes all arrangements for Board of Governors' meetings including hotel accommodations, special dinners, on site trouble shooting, conference room set up, choosing catering menus, etc.
" Attends the Board of Governors meetings and types minutes during the meetings. Travel is required three times a year.
" Compiles and sends materials for board and committee meetings.
" Coordinates all logistics for face-to-face committee meetings and conference calls several times a year.
" Arranges weekly air and travel arrangements for the CEO and president, including conference registrations, hotel reservations, etc.
" Compiles data and develops materials for major projects, e.g., annual elections, awards presentations, bylaws revisions.
" Is responsible for maintaining the organization's database with board and committee members' contact and committee information.
" Performs routine secretarial tasks, composes routing correspondence, orders office supplies, and arranges car service for important guests.
" Other tasks as required by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
" 4-year college degree
" Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
" Excellent PC skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, IMUS is a plus
" Excellent typing skills
" Professionalism, diplomacy and excellent customer service skills are a must
" The ability to maintain confidentiality is absolutely essential
" Similar work experience is a plus
