Warning: White dress + Red BM dyed shoes + RAIN = potential disaster

Our priest told us a semi-funny (but not if it happens to you) story about a bride he had whose whole family was crying, and whose wedding was delayed because they were all in the limo together on a rainy day and the bride's train was overlapping a BM's dyed red shoes. Well, the DYE came off ALL OVER the bride's DRESS and cause WAVES of RED on the DRESS!!!! She hadn't even walked down the aisle yet!

Just something to think about! Not that it's going to rain on ANY of our wedding days, though!......

It is terrible!! ... I didn't mean to sound callous... the only reason I said 'funny' is because the way he presented it was that he was waiting patiently in the front with the groom wondering what was taking so long, and he finally went to the back to check on the bride, and found the entire bride's family and bridal party hysterically crying. He said he seriously thought someone died in an accident or something, and then found out it was because of the dress mishap! He said they were all SOBBING.

He said at the very least, all these years later, their marriage is still strong, and they have a memorable story to tell!

I HATE dyables! I was a MOH 4x and not only does the color run when it rains, but it runs all over your feet when they sweat

That's why I told my BM's to wear whatever shoes they wanted. no one notices the BP's shoes, believe me!

unless your BM's are wearing tea-length dresses, you don't need to have them all matching. IMO

That is horrible......but I can see how it would be funny; later. Maybe very later on, very much after the fact. It is nice to hear that they have a wonderful marriage and can now laugh about it!

oh geez, it better not rain on my day! my BM's had their shoes dyed apple red!!!! the good news is that i never have to ride in the limo with them, i'll be in the RR with FH!
