My parents anf FIL's are meeting this weekend for the first time!

Im so nervous all of a sudden, they are meeting on Sunday. I plan to have the wine flowing. Does anyone have any pointers about when your in-laws met your parents?!!?

oh good luck!! i'm sure everything will go really well. my parents and FIL's met a while back but, to my surprise, they got along SO well after a while FH and I thought they didn't even need us there anymore!! LOL

The only pointers I have is just to make sure there is plenty of wine and everyone is comfy-- wine will help people 'loosen up'

I remember our first parent meeting. I was so nervouse but afte the first 5 mintues I got ove it and everything went great.

My parents met his dad for this first time last weekend! His parents are divorced, so they still have to meet his mom. It wasn't bad. My parents brought over and awesome pie from Briermere, so everyone was talking about this for a while. haha. Then his dad and my dad are both engineers so they were talking about that for a while. It wasn't bad. You'll be fine. wine is an excellent idea!

Toootally understand the nerves. I actually had our parents meet at our engagement dinner. It was our parents, siblings and a few close friends so the conversation flow didn't totally depend on FH & I. I also tipped the waiter before and said DO NOT LET THE DRINKS STOP COMMING!!!
