Re: Re-post from Newlywed Board (Please Help, Need Opinions)
I think printing is 'nicer' but handwriting is just fine. Don't sweat it!Some people don't even send Thank you notes.
Whoever received the thank you note will be more than thankful you remembered them.

Re: Re-post from Newlywed Board (Please Help, Need Opinions)
I agree, printed envelopes definitely do look 'nicer' but like you said people are going to care more about receiving a thank you and being remembered as opposed to whether or not an envelope is handwritten or printed. Thanks a bunch, I feel sooo much better

Re: Re-post from Newlywed Board (Please Help, Need Opinions)
I know it sounds 'strange' but seeing a handwriten card actually shows me someone took the time to write it. It looks more personal.

Most of the ones I've received have been handwritten!

I feel the same way!!! My FH thinks I'm nuts because I usually handwrite the addresses on our holiday cards.

Re: Re-post from Newlywed Board (Please Help, Need Opinions)
I planned to hand write my thank you's as well. I may send the envelopes through the printer for the address portion so it's legible for the post office, but each thank you card will be a hand written message.

Re: Re-post from Newlywed Board (Please Help, Need Opinions)
honest to god, every thank you card i have ever received has been hand written. and, to me, it seems more personal that way b/c you took the time to write it yourself.i think printing them is pretty but if you want to hand write them there is nothing wrong with that. i have never heard etiquette saying you are not supposed to do that so it's def OK if you don't!

Re: Re-post from Newlywed Board (Please Help, Need Opinions)
The actual 'etiquette' on this is that the bride should hand write and hand address all wedding correspondance. Brides are actually even 'supposed' to hand-address all their invitations as well.Depending on your handwriting, some people prefer printing the envelopes or labels, but I personally think it is more thoughtful to hand write...It shows more effort on your part!
