Westbury is not really a good district. I don't know anything about East Meadow, though. You can always look up school district stats from Newsday.

My husband grew up in Westbury and I had an apt there for about 5 years. Honestly considering what the taxes are, the school district is not good. The location is very convenient and they are trying to restore the area by building all these massive condos on Post Ave. My inlaws still live in Westbury. But for what they pay in taxes (Westbury is an incorporated village so there are villages taxes also), to have to pay for private school on top of it - I think it's outrageous!

I'm not sure about East Meadow, I think there is more than 1 school district in E Meadow. Or am I thinking about Levittown?

Anyway, if you google search 'Westbury School District' you will find their 'report card' which will tell you the number of students by ethnicity, the number of graduating students, number of students that went on to 4 year colleges, number of students with passing Regents scores, etc. That is the best tool to use, I used it often when my husband and I were looking for houses.

I dont think Westbury school district is a good sd based on their report card.

I live in WEstbury but Carle Place school district. Great schools, only about 100 per grade.

Area is from north side jericho tpke (westbury Manor) to old Country rd (roosevelt field mall). Width is from glen cove road to ellison ave.

I grew up in East Meadow and I believe they have good schools - much better than Westbuy or Levittown.

east meadow school district is amazing. my little sister has a learning disability and they been nothing but wonderful to her and our family. FM me for more info.

i was a nanny for a family i east meadow, they have a great school district. westbury isn't so great, but... parts of westbury (called salisbury) are east meadow school district

I went to East Meadow and it was a great school district. I would definitely recommend it. I loved most of my teachers. I'm not so sure about Westbury, I don't think it's too good.

I live in East Meadow and went to school here. I love it. Schools can use a little work but overall the school district is pretty good

i think in the end, we didn't even look at that one..i think it was listed as a 'small 2 bedroom' and i put a stop to that nonsense! we needed space like we need air to breathe...so we went with one with TONS of space.
