What is the average cost of a wedding cake?

I get mine with the cost of my hall. I would guess that they're about $300 and up depending on how many people you want to feed and what type of design you want.

I agree, it really depends upon how much detail on the cake and how many people it needs to feed, but I think this is the usual starting price.

My rh is giving it to us as part of the package. I heard good cakes with a lot of detail can be around $1200- $1500 per cake.

Sylvia Weinstock makes beautiful cakes but she is sooooo expensive

we had to pay about $300 and our cake was included in the package. ask specifically what kind of credit you get, if you have to go to a bakery, etc.
