DIY aisle runner question - spacing?

We bought a 100 ft runner, standard I suppose.

How did you ladies know where to space out your design so it was in a logical place when you walked down the aisle?

I think we are going to use a short quote (maybe 2 or 3 lines) and then just our names and the date and some sort of embellishment in the middle....

Did you unravel the whole 100 feet and then center the design? Or did you work towards the top (or the altar area when it's unraveled) and put your quote very close to the top?

Thanks in advance for the guidance ladies!! :)

Re: DIY aisle runner question - spacing?

I'm following the instructions on the boards from girls who've done it in the past --- but I'm going to use a projector tha t I have to project my image onto the aisle runnre (which I will temporarily adhere to my wall),....trace the image..... then take it down and paint it.... and voila
