Spinoff to Laura's Dress Shopping PSA... stores that DO keep the tags on dresses?

Ive read that these stores are few and far between. But I have been planning on doing what Laura did. Go to a bridal salon in NY with my mom, hopefully find 'THE DRESS' and then shop around here in Md or the internet for it.

Has anyone had success finding a shop that has the tags on? Or at least isnt reluctant to tell you the designer and #?

Re: Spinoff to Laura's Dress Shopping PSA... stores that DO keep the tags on dresses?

i found my dress at a high end pricey salon, fell in love with it, was planning on buying it from there regardless of the extra $$ b/c it's 'retail' BUT the lady gave me such an attitude and was so rude to me and just plain cruel that i said thank you, turned around and walked out. then, i went to burton's on a few very high recommendations. i spoke to carole who is AWESOME and gave her the name of the designer and the dress style, she found it, ordered it and it came in about a month ago. i tried it on and it was beautiful (very big on me which is beautiful in it's own way LOL) but still-- i was so happy and it had ALL of the tags in the dress and still attached... it even smelled brand new and i took it out of the bag and i was like AHHHHH YAY!!!

i have had SUCH a good experience with burton's and their dresses that i would recommend them to ANYONE-- my sister also got her gown there and they have been GREAT and she also got her BM's gowns there... plus, they saved us a pretty penny off of retail. i 100% recommend them!!!

good luck melissa

Both Lillette's and Kleinfeld told me the designers. I don't remember if the tags were inside, because I didn't look since they told me who the designers were. Paradise Bridal would not tell me the designer which I found extremely annoying.

Re: Spinoff to Laura's Dress Shopping PSA... stores that DO keep the tags on dresses?

Of the shops I've been to:

Bay Shore Bridal Suite
Esther's Bridal in Hoboken
Adrienne's in Islip
RK Bridal in Manhattan
Macy's Bridal Salon in Manhattan
Sukran's in Westport, CT
Memories Bridal in North Bergen, NJ
The Wedding Store at Liz Clinton's
Bridal Reflections in Massapequa
Kleinfelds in Manhatatn
Reba Brides in North Bergen, NJ

the only store I had a problem with was Adrienne's - they cut the tags and won't tell you the designer. Most of the other ones had the tags, but I didn't even need to look because they told me off the bat.
