where do the vendors eat?

I just thought of this! Do I need a separate table fo rthem?? One table only has 7 people at it...can they just sit there to eat? Help!

I'm going to do a seperate table for vendors. I don't want a guest feeling like..ug, I'm only important enough to sit with the hired help?? JMO!

I'm just going to leave everything as is for now. I don't have room to add another table in! There are so many places they can eat right?

I know! that's the problem!
ETA:
Of course if the rest of the people that were supposed to sit at that table would have rsvped on time then there probably would have been more people sitting there in the first place!!!! But that's a story for a different thread!

We had a 'vendors' table off to the side of the dance floor...Our hall actually told us where to put them

the vendors would never eat in the same room...it's their break...i've seen them off to the side at every event we've attended at a catering hall. that would be like a waitress at a restaurant taking her lunch break and sitting down next to you...sure at the wedding, it's a DJ...but it's kind of the same thing.

See the last 2 weddings I've been to I actually saw the vendors sitting there eating, at tables in the room...which is what just made me think of it. before then though, I hadn't seen it. the problem witn my room is that there's no room to just stick people you know. I'm sure the hall will know what to do with them. I'm just driving myself crazy.

I had a six piece band and 3 photographers so I had a table just for them in my room

omg.

well, i'd insist with your MD that they cannot be eating in the same room...i mean they announce the break they are taking....it should make sense that they leave the room and really take a break.

i'd hang that $20/head tip over the MD's head that if the vendors are eating in your room it won't be coming.

ok...no one would tip $20/head...but still...i would make it clear you don't really want that. i'm sure they'd oblige.

the hall tells you where they eat.

Some keep them in the reception room, some give them their own table outside of the main room.

Def ask the hall. I asked ours and they said they eat where the cocktail hour was. For us it was outside. I said what if it rains? They said, we'll figure it out. But it won't be in the same room.

Our vendors had their own table next to the DJ booth. We did not have to assign them to a table.

I do recall seeing my vendors sitting at the table, but it must have only been for a few minutes because they were up working pretty much all of the night. My photo, video and DJ vendors were awesome!! (Duet and High Voltage).

Ours ate in the restaurant that is in the hall. Ask your hall, they will tell you.

sep. table for them... a must to feed them at least i think so... who wants a hungry photographer

I think they had a small table near the DJ, but I don't remember seeing them eat.
