If you have already purchased your dress

How did you know that was the dress?
What was your feeling? How long did you look? How many places did you look? Im trying to prepare myself mentally to start searching for a dress.

I just knew as soon as I put on the dress that it was the one I wanted to wear. I went to about three places and tried on many many dresses before I found 'the one' I put it on once and I knew. I tried on a few others and then put that one back on and they put the veil on and everything and I started crying. So I knew it was the one.

Honestly, you can't explain it YOU JUST KNOW

I only went to 1 place and only tried on a total of 4 dresses. Sometimes it takes 1 dress and sometimes it takes 30. But you will know when it's the one

Every time I found a dress I loved I just wasn't ready to order - something was holding me back. But with the dress I'm going to order I wasn't reluctant. I knew I'd be happy wearing it on my day.

I went to about 11 shops, and probably tried on 30+ dresses. I'm glad I did that though because at the end I found a dress that combined all the qualities I loved in other dresses.

I saw my gown in a magazine, couldn't find it anywhere. The day I went to put a deposit on another gown I saw it, it was fate. After trying on 20 plus gowns I found the one I said I was going to get. I tried it on and my mom and MOH got all emotional and told me I was glowing.... it was the one.
When you find the one you will know!

I actually saw the dress I thought that I wanted in a bridal mag. I brought it with me when I started shopping. It was beautiful on, but when I tried the next dress on I knew it was it. I just felt like a beautiful princess in it. Everyone with me started getting all teary eyed. You just know when its the 'one'

I tried on close to 50 dresses...no joke...i had tried the one on that I bought, and we were like wow!!! then I continued to try on dresses, but I kept comparing them to that one dress....because it was the exact style I wanted...I felt pretty in it....

You might not say, omg, this is the absolute one, but you will continue to go towards that dress and think about it a lot...that is how you might know....

I went to four different stores and then to lillettes. I tried on several dresses and then the one was the second to last one i tried. I absolutely loved it and had to have it. When I walked out and saw myself in the big mirror I was like oh my god and everyone that was with me was like 'oh Sheri its you' and it was so not what I thought i was going for. I just knew...its hard to describe.

i didn't think i'd find 'the one' cause of my absolute fear of wedding gowns. lol but i went and gave each dress i tried on, a fair look. i was a very very lucky bride, in that i found my dress at the first shop i went to.

it was the 9th and final dress i tried on that day, and when i put it on in the dressing room, i wasn't sure. but i walked out to the 3 sided mirror---and it was DONE. i just looked at myself in the dress, and the dress itself and fell in love. i knew no other dress would make me feel the way THAT one did.

just an FYI---i must've ripped out 50 pics of bridal gowns in the magazines. i tried on several of the ones that i thought would look good. they all stunk on me! i was totally set on a maggiet sottero, and thought i'd get it. tried it on--and it looked terrible. ironically enough if you would've shown me a pic of the dress i DID pick and ordered....i would NEVER EVER EVER have thought of it. so just remember that when you are shopping---try EVERYTHING ON!!!!

I have looked for dresses a few times, and was not getting the 'feeling' at all. Liked many, but not in love, see myself on the alter feeling.

Until last saturday when I tried on the one I loved in the picture. Sure enough I could totally look in the mirror and picture the surroundings of the wedding and I knew it was it!

I still see many dresses that are so pretty, but not the one I see myself saying I Do in!

I fond my dress b4 i eveb went dress shopping. when i saw the pics i knew it was the one. So i wen to the store to try it on and i started to cry. i knew that was it BUT I didnt order it right away. I hear so many stories of epople changing thier minds that i figured i would wait a few months and go back.. well i waited like 5mths and went back to try in on and again i cried.. so it was confirmed.. it was the one!!!

tip I learned & many say too.....Don't judge the dress before you try it on. So many times the dress looks totally different on!

try all the different styles, cuts, fabrics on!

Lemme tell you by saying I went dress shopping one night, tried on the 3rd dress and knew it was the one. I just felt like a bride, LOVED IT, felt amazing, my mom was hysterical, my sisters were sooooo excited. You just know when its the one.

I put it on and literally felt like the princess bride. I was dancing around the boutique like a weirdo ( had to make sure I could dance in it). I just felt perfect!

It was the 1st dress I tried on but my mom kept telling keep shopping. But everytime I put on another dress I compared it to 'The Dress'. I knew it was it. When I went back to the dress place the lady who helped me made me look at my card from my original appt. On the back of the card she had written. 'She will be back for dress # 698'. This was the 1st dres I tried on.

It was just an inexplainable feeling. I hate the cliche of 'you just know' but it is so the truth.

I only went to about 3 stores and tried on a total of maybe 15 dresses. Every time I would try on a dress I would compare it to mine and after a while my mom just looked at me and I just knew. I went back and tried it on again and there was NO question in my mind whatsoever!

I tried on my dress after trying on like 6 other dresses I thought I loved, but in fact did not like on me at all. After I tried on my dress, I tried on 2 others and while I was trying on the other 2, I couldn't stop staring at my dress, so I tried it on a second time. After heading off to another bridal salon 2 days later, in which I tried on 4 or 5 more dresses I didn't like on me, I went back to the first salon to try on my dress a third time. I just KNEW it was mine! I also couldn't stop staring at a picture of my dress for those 2 days.

i tried on two dresses i think before i tried the one that i LOOOVEDDDD there was no doubt in my mind that this was it- youll know- i know everyone says that but its so true- when you find THE dress you will knowwwww
