How about lindt truffles?

ETA: What Hollie did was great, they gave out 2/3 lindt truffles in addition to the livestrong bracelets.

That's a good idea, someone posted yesterday that the Lindt Store in the Source Mall at Roosevelt Field has good deals on them (since they are now an outlet).

Peas in a Pod:

How about wrapping two round hard candies with green paper? I think I saw this in a Martha Stewart wedding mag ....

Lay the candies out on light green tissue paper, wrap them together in the same piece, twist between them (these are the peas) and wrap again with darker green paper to create the pod - then you have two peas in a pod.. Inexpensive and fun.

that's cute. thanks.

Re: hey ladies... i am still stressing over candy favor ideas...please share what you did, or are planning to do...

I think it's more than a dollar each, but we're doing a candy buffet - in addition to our regular favors.

We bought chinese takeout containers for .08 each from papermart.com and putting a 'thank you' sticker with our monogram on them. Then I bought beautiful glass vases (with coupons) from AC Moore for no more than $10 each. I'm filling it up with lots of different candies. Then each guest can fill up their containers with their favorite goodies to take with them!

You can spend as little or as much as you'd like on the candy... it's up to you. I'm figuring about 100 lbs of chocolate for my 125-150 guests.

I did litttle mint tins from Michaels with white mints and orderedlabels--you can do them yourself as well. I think it was $20 for 30 tins. There's a pic in my album. HTH!

We also did donation favors, but gave out candy to each guest.

I bought small, chinese food boxes from Oriental Trading Company and then filled them with two kinds of Hershey Kisses. I got the candy at BJs. I don't remember exactly how much it was per person, but I would guess it was probably $1 to $1.25.

i heard that M&M's can do any color you want... if you go to their website you can order the M&M's in your wedding colors...even if they are not traditional M&M colors... like black or turquiose or hot pink..... i am not sure how much it is though....
