if you take pics before ceremony..do you put your wedding band on???

i mean if you take all of your pics ( ie. formal..you and fh..family etc) before the actual ceremony..do you put on yoru weddding band as if you already were married??? ty!!

No you don't. Those pictures should be taken after. I don't believe a or any photographer will focus on your hands because you are not 'officially' married yet. Most of the time couples do this to get the formal pictures out of the way, or to show a private moment when the couple sees each other for the first time, and also that they have more time to enjoy the reception. HTH

I think you do wear them. I know I plan to wear my wedding ring for pics because the photographer is doing some hand shots with both of us. One of my BM's got married a few months ago and the photograhper specifically told her to wear the wedding bands even though pics were before the ceremony.

Your best bet is to ask the photographer you hired. That's the best thing to do. Doesn't make sense to wear your bands if you aren't married, but I guess it's a preference.

I didnt, and personally i dont think i would have felt comfortable doing that... you cant really even see my ring finger in those photos, and any up close hand shots can be taken after... jmo

We did and we did it for photos. I had no problem with it. We took a few shots with it and then put them back in their boxes.

I didn't think twice about it.

We didn't. The only 'hand' shot we took was after the ceremony. I did notice in one pic that you could see DH left hand and he wan't wearing a ring- but I am sure I am the only one who will notice!!

we didnt and i didnt really think about it until i read this post. we DID put the wedding rings on for a few hand shots before, but we didnt have them on for all of our formal shots. i dont think its a big deal to have them on before if its just for pics.

We did a few close up 'hands' pictures, and I put on both rings for that, as did DH. I didn't want to be bothered after the ceremony to pose for pictures. For all of our portraits, I just had my e-ring on.

We did! After I got dressed, I put it on when I took my pics with DH and the bridal party. So I didn't have it on for the getting ready pics, but I did for all the others.
