I guess thats because I have spent much of the day at my MOm's house packing for my HM since not really any of my things in our new apartment
Its like we had a party and now I am home...its weird

once you come back from your HM & you are living full time with your new DH, you will start to feel married!!!!

It will take a while to get use to! I will be married two months tomorrow and I still don't quite feel it. Certain things bring on the 'married' feeling though. Like last night, DH and I went food shopping and came home and cooked dinner and ate together.....that made me really feel like I was married even though we've been living together for two years (in a different place though) and have gone shopping before!

Wait til the HM, then you will feel it!

I know what you mean- I've been married for almost two months and its still a very novel idea. It feels like nothing has changed - even though we didn't live together before. It was very easy for us. The other day I said to him - 'you know whats wierd? I'm a wife!'. Sometimes it feels more real than others.

It def takes some time, Kathleen!!!!

When we were on our HM we'd call each other husband and wife and I felt like we were just playing around, it didn't feel real to me yet. Sometimes it still doesn't bc nothing has really changed, we'd already lived together before. But when I look down at my hand or see his w-ring on his hand it makes me smile, that's our 'proof'!!

Also, if you're changing your name, that's when it def starts to feel more real. When you start to get mail with your new last name!!

we are having the same feelings, i suppose though for us its bc we've lived together for 2 years now. its so funny to call each other husband and wife. i think it will feel more real for us after we move out of state next week...its going to be a new adventure for us, thats for sure. i think after you two live together for a while it will feel more real!

i felt the same way! actually, i didnt really feel married until we got back from our HM. it felt like we had a big party and then went on vacation. it really kicks in when you wake up next to each other every morning...i LOVE it!!!!

I got married the same day you did, a year ago! I did not feel married initially either--we were adjusting to living together, and that was very different, but I didn't feel married. By now though, I do. I can't say I woke up one morning and felt different, but gradually over time, you will both get used to the idea.

Enjoy your first year of marriage--it goes by faster than you think!
