Bank of America - Name change

That was just too easy.

I had called BOA yesterday to close my savings account and asked if I could change my name over the phone. They said no, you have to bring in your license to a branch.

There's a teeny tiny branch by work (corner of 110 and Spagnoli Road in Melville) that didn't seem so busy so I just went there on my lunch hour.

I was in and out in under 10 minutes. There was no one there at 12 in the afternoon, and the woman changed everything in the system while I was sitting there, I picked out new checks, and she said I'd have my new debit card in 7 days.

Cool huh! I hope the rest of this stuff goes so easily.

Ok I know it won't but for anyone in this area, you should know that that is a convenient branch. They have 1 ATM, a drive thru, and two ways to enter/exit the parking lot - onto 110 and onto Spagnoli Road.

Seriously, it was so easy changing my name with them. Not so much with my other bank But we are definitely moving ALL out accounts over to bank of america soon.

Glad to hear it was easy...but I still hate BOA...grrrrrr
