Girls with pin straight, thick hair

Have you worn your hair wavy or slightly curly.... Almost how Carmen Electra had it for her wedding. If so, how did you get the curl to stay for the whole entire night?

I usually use a little mousse before I blowdry it, then use hairspray as I am curling it. Spray it down, curl, spray it again. As long as you use a good holding (but not too tacky) spray it still looks ok and stays through the night.
