NWR: DMV question

i have to change my name and address on my license. will i have to give in my old license and wait for my new one in the mail? or will i be able to keep my old one and just replace it when i get the new one?

i want to go to DMV tomorrow but need my actual license for other reasons.

ETA: any sugggestions for a good DMV in nassau? i usually go to the one by roosevelt field.

Re: NWR: DMV question

When I reknewed my license at 21, they allowed me to keep my old license and gave me a paper copy of my new license while my new one was mailed to me. The DMV knows that licenses are used as a form of ID - I don't think they'd take it from you.

Re: NWR: DMV question

I just did this a few weeks ago (you are so good!) and I was able to keep my old one.
(I wish I could still use it b/c the picture on my new one is HIDEOUS!)

The only thing they took from me was the title for my car.

Re: NWR: DMV question

I didn't give them my title. I just sent my financing company a letter saying that I got married and included a copy of my marriage certificate.
