Response Rate For Weddings 1 Hour Away

Response Rate For Weddings 1 Hour Away

I just sent out my invites and am expecting about 130 guests + 15 kids. Hoping for the min. guarantee of 100 adults.

Does anyone know what to expect in terms of response for weddings that are about 1-1.5 hours away from the guests? Most of the people are coming from Jersey and I'm so afraid we would have 30% saying 'no' :(

DH's side were all 1-2 hours away. They all came. Most of my side was7-20 hours away. I had 50% come. But it all depends on whether its family or friends. A ton of our friends wouldn't travel, but almost all family did.

haha...we had the opposite happen, our friends would travel and not our family!

but all of his were 1-2 away and mine all over 6 hours. we had about the same results in the end.

We've got about 80 people who will have to travel 90 minutes to the wedding. They're mostly relatives (and I think my mom has threatened them if they even think of not coming) and we're expecting all of them to attend. Also, I believe they're all planning to stay over night, so you may want to include hotel options for your guests who will be traveling more than an hour.

A lot of our list is people living 1 hr - 1hr 1/2 away.

We sent out save the dates early with hotel information and it seems a good portion of them are coming (based on the fact they've reserved their hotel rooms already).

Looks like you had a bit more than 30% response rate. Did you have a better response from friends or family?

I have 131 adults so far, should probably sent out the B list as well. :(
