Anyone Has Good Wedding Favor Ideas?
I can't take it anymore, I've been looking and looking for wedding favor ideas but can't seem to find anything I seem to like. It's doubly hard 'cus my family is asian and FH's family is German/English American so I can't even think about things like chopstick sets or coasters or anything that one side won't use!
I'm down to chocolate truffles but it seems so boring? The idea has been reused over and over again. :(

Re: Anyone Has Good Wedding Favor Ideas?
here are two ideas of things we are doing. 1) a penny candy bar at the end of the night with little bags so guests can take home whatever they like. 2) my mom is filling berry baskets with mini muffins and cellophane wrapping them. this was a martha stewart idea for favors, although we are doing them as out of town bags instead.

Re: Anyone Has Good Wedding Favor Ideas?
we are doing a set of 6 expresso cups, which comes in a round box. They are a pearl champagne color and match the colors of our wedding and the girls dresses.

Penny candy bar sounds interesting. How much is this costing you and where are you getting your supplies?

Re: Anyone Has Good Wedding Favor Ideas?
we did a donation as a favor. my dad is a cancer survivor, so we donated to the lance armstrong cancer fund... and gave every guest a yellow " livestrong" bracelet, and a note explaining the donation... it worked out great, because the guests had something to take home with them- but we didn't feel like any money was wasted by favors being left behind, etc..... and we still see a lot of guests over a year later wearing the bracelets, and we got so many compliments on it....

I heard about someone that took two scratch off lottery tickets and tied a ribbon around them with their names and the dates.

Re: Anyone Has Good Wedding Favor Ideas?
We are also doing the ice cream scoop and I am going to put hersheys hugs and kisses in the scooper part and have a note tied onto them saying 'hugs and kisses from the new mr. and mrs. "OR I might just do kisses and say "a scoop full of kisses from the new mr. and mrs. " I can't decide. But I have time. I thought it was a cute idea when I saw it at my cousins wedding a few years back-only they used plastic spoons!

I'm Asian & FH is Italian, Swedish & Irish. We're doing bottles of red wine and scratch off tickets. Thinking about doing the candy buffet at the end of the reception too...

I got the candy at Economy Candy in Manhattan which also has an on-line business. Most candies are $3/pound and I bought 50 pounds for 130 guests. You also need clear bags which are $5 at Michaels and labels (mine were $34 at myweddinglabels.com). We are renting the mason jars and scoops from our rental company but I saw them at Target for $7 each.

I'm doing this with Susan G. Komen organization!!! Just FYI for anyone who wants to do donation favor -- 90% of the sale of the merchandise goes to the organization.

Were doing two favors, one for the older tables and one for the younger... were doing mini stainless steel cocktail shakers with either 2 shots of vodka inside a lil cup inside the shaker with a cute tag with our names and date and a martini recipe on the other side of the tag...or we'll fill them with cosmo flavored jelly bellys..havent decided...and for the older tables were doing expresso sets...this way everyone goes home happy!!

Forgive me if I have my countries mixed up, but what about something like chocolate dipped pizzelles or kruschiki in a cellophane bag tied with red and gold ribbons and an orchid?
