Repost from '06 - Question for Brides who saw FH before the ceremony...
Did it take away any of your anxiety? In other words, were you calmer walking down the aisle? Do you wish you had done things differently and waited to see him? We're thinking of doing this for a variety of reasons so I'm just curious.
Thanks Ladies!!! I'm sorry to intrude on the Newlywed Board but figured it's the best place to ask this question.

more than anything i was grateful to have all of our pics taken before the ceremony so that we didnt have to take time away from the CH and reception! i was pretty calm the whole day, so i dont know if not seeing him before the ceremony would have made me feel anxious or not. i dont regret seeing him before at all! we have nice pics of the first time he saw me as a bride and that was our special moment. good luck with your decision!

We had to see each other before the ceremony regardless because we are Jewish and it is part of our custom. However, I am glad that we did do it because our first moment seeing each other was ours and not belonging to 160+ people. I mean there were a few there but it was still intimate. As far as nerves, it didnt matter. I was still nervous!

It was great...aside from the photos being done...it just made things easier and calmer...and allowed for a rehearsal as we married at our hall and a rehearsal the night before was not allowed. I would never do it differently than I did it. We got to have that 'this is it' moment together not in front of 160 people and he could whisper in my hear how beautiful he thought I was instead of holding it until after the ceremony or waiting until the end of the day to remember to say, I thought you looked fabulous...he got to say it right away.Welcome New Vendors
