DIY Invitation - Opinions

Hey Girls,
I just finish making a sample invitation - DIY - I just wanted to get an opinion - What di you think - does it look cheesy -

wow! well first let me comment on how lovely ALL your DIY projects are!!!! I knwo how difficult it is to get everything done and perfected but I must say they look absolutely lovely!!!

Now I do have a few pointers IMO for your invites if you dont mind me posting.....

I would change the font from times new roman ( i think thats what you used) to something a little more calligraphy type- maybe brandley hand if you want to stay away from the curly scripty type....

I would also make your names bigger than the rest of the invite (yours and FH's) so they can stand out more

I would also make your monogram bigger on the top to show a little bit more....

I agree...the work you did is beautiful...on your invite the thing that stood out most to me is that the monogram is really small...maybe make it bigger...also make the font bigger because it looks like it would be hard to read..especially if you have older guests...i know i do and i plan on making my wording as big as the invite can allow without making it look ugly

for your STD...maybe since you have the whole thing in script you can make your names in print to make them stand out more..?

i love your wishbowl and your BM totebags are SUPER adorable...you're really talented...i wish i was that crafty

Thanks so much girls for the input. I am actually finishing up one more totebag before I go to bed (which should of been twoo hours ago!!) I am so glad that you girls are here to bump ideas off of. I was a little worried about making my own invites - but I really wanted it to be something special and all the invites that would capture my I were like $500+ dollars (over my budget), so I figure what better way then to incorporate a little bit of all those ideas into my own. I am definately going to enlarge the print as much as I can and change the font (thanks - I totally didn't even realize I was using Times . But again thanks so much -
