marriage license questions
wow, less than 2 months to go... so i know we have to go get our marriage license pretty soon. how long are they good for? how far in advance of the wedding should we go? what do we need to bring with us? do we walk away with the license that day? does it matter where we go to get it? TIA ladies

how long are they good for? you can't get it any farther ahead than 60 days and no less that 24 hours before
how far in advance of the wedding should we go?
anytime within the 60 days..
what do we need to bring with us? call before you go...each town hall requires diff paperwork
do we walk away with the license that day? Yes
does it matter where we go to get it?
It doesn't matter which town hall you go to ......

We got ours yesterday at Huntington Town Hall. It expires October 14. We both had to appear, with our birth certificates & driver's licenses and $40 cash.

we just got back from the NYC clerk's office. it was super easy - a $35 money order and your drivers licenses, it only took like 20 minutes.

Did you also have to show your birth certificate?
