Florist problem what to do? long but please read/advise

Back in Dec I decided on Mauve calla's, i dont know what colors they come in and such i've just seen a picture, i brought it to her and she said no problem. I repeatidly asked there is no problem getting THIS color in regular calla's she said NO problem!.. even showed me the size they'd come in .. i am like ok! I email her about 2-3 months ago updating that i want dark pink/hot pink calla's i send a picture i found on line as an example... i send follow up emails.. i email her to meet with her while i was in NY a month ago to iron out details. email email email, i hear nothing.. then days after we make the final payment the owner calls me saying that the picture i sent 2 months ago is of 40 calla's (mini calla's).. i said ok, and he said you have 12 in your contract.. i said yes 12 calla's (NOT mini's) so it would be full and he says well no it's mini (contract DOES NOT STATE THAT).. he NOW tells normal calla's only come in white or green, i was like ok, well i guess you spray them to be the color i wanted? that is besides the point.. he tells me if i want a more full one i need to pay xtra$.. whatever.. then i tell him the picture was more for an example of the color i want, and he proceeds to tell me that when they do calla's they can not guarentee you get the right color, they NEVER come in right (from where they order them) only white and yellow ever come in correct... so he says it will be close, but a shade dkr or lighter.. i am tell him that is fine, as long as they are NOT baby pink!... i dont think he listened to me and continued to say ok good, because sometimes we get brides that are like i dont care as long as they are not bubble gum pink (same a baby pink i am thinking).. and he says because the last thing i want to to do is upset a bride etc... i'd rather not take on a wedding if the bride says something like that!.. so here i am thinking ok, so in dec you could get Mauve (a color simiar to pink) according to his floral lady, i specificaly asked for reg size calla's and was told NO PROBLEM! then i update the color 2 months ago email email email and never get a responce for an appointment while i am in NY, or about the color! but i finally get a call 2 days after we make the final payment with all these disclaimers!?!?! what the F! now if i change my flowers so they ARE the color i want but a cheaper flower do they give back the differene they charged me? I just really feel decieved on purpose with how 2 days after we make final payment i get a call w/all this bad news! and he tells me she will be contacting me in the next day or so to iron out details and it is now a month later!... argghhh do i call them out on this stuff now and let them know i am feeling decieved and taken advantage of based on conversations and such? .. or do I work with them to some sort of acceptable medium and report them later to the bbb? I fear telling them all this for them to screw me on my wedding day...

can you ask them to send you an actual flower so you can see if that is THE color that you want for the day of? I think that if you can verify that that is the color then you can decide then if you want to spend more money on items that this florist may throw at you.

Since your wedding is so close I would be careful about giving this person the boot...

I hate to say this, but IMHO you have a HUGE problem. Every single florist I went to told me when I said I wanted burgundy calla lilies that only minis come in colors and that full size calla lilies only come in white and yellow.

Since he said he would rather not take on a bride who has a specific request for a color flower, I would call him back and tell him you DO have a specific request - you don't want "light" pink of any variety - be it baby pink, bubble gum pink, etc - you want HOT pink and mauve, and that is what is in your contract and that is what you want OR you want ALL your money back.

you go girl, wanna do it for me... J/K.. i am emailing the lady tonigtht (as it will be long)! i will be so mad if she has her boss call me AGAIN, he doesnt listen to me! i dont mind the mini calla's but they should make up for the mistake and make sure there is enough to be full enough, NO? they tell me NO because they are the same price i told him last i dont care cant you spray them ( i know there is floral spray for real flowers!)
