Anyone ever hear of 'turning' an e-ring?

A friend of mine recently heard of an Italian tradition where you get your e ring 'turned' like you would for a high school ring. . . i have never heard of that - just wondering if anyone has heard of that or done that?
just curious. . .

THANKS!

My FSIL mentioned it when I first got my ring, and she turned it, but I have no idea how many times you're supposed to do that.

I had one older woman do that with my ring. It is supposedly for good luck.

I was told be one of my Greek friends. Everytime you take your ring off and put it back on, you turn it once towards your heart.

Re: Anyone ever hear of 'turning' an e-ring?

Same here. I'm Irish and all my close female relatives (older ones) turned my e-ring for good luck. Never heard of it before that though.
