NWR-Does anyone know what kind of doctor...

you go to in order to have a sty removed? My 16yr. old daughter has one on her eyelid. Can I call her pediatrician?

They have over the counter stye ointment at any pharmacy. Apply it and it will go away in a few days.

i never heard that they can be removed..i thought it needed to be waited out

drug stores have a med called Stye out...its in a white,red and black box!

when i had one i just put warm compresses on it and it went away.

i would call the pediatrician and ask for a recc. if you are concerned.

Warm compresses 30 mins on, 30 mins off should take care of it.

Stys come and go... have the doc check it out, but chances are he'll just say to press a warm cloth against it gradually and eventually itll go away. I get them every now and again too and I just give it time, takes a few days

My husband had one for a while, they gave him a new antibiotic eye drop at the Opthamologist's office. I would try using Stye first and if that doesn't work make an appointment with an Opthamologist.

Definitely try 'stye' it really works and helps with the pain of it.

ooh ohhh! i just went to see the Opthamologist for the same problem two days ago!

I have a great eye doc i got to see and he's so nice! anyway his nurses gave me some eye anesthesia to numb the eye and then he gave me prescription for it, wonderful guy and the stye is in remission so far.

he said to:

1. do 10 secs of hot compress on eye
2. apply one drop of his eye drop
3. wash eye with no tear shampoo

3x a day.

Thanks so much ladies. I'll pick up Stye today and try the compresses. It kinda looks like a skin tag that started out looking like a white little bubble.
