If a Cocktail Hour is going to be an hour and a half, is it still called a Cocktail Hour?

Sounds like one of life's deep questions, like 'If a tree falls in a forest.......'

but do still call my cocktail hour a cocktail hour if it's from 4:30 to 6?

I'd still call it a cocktail hour. I've been to a few that have been longer than an hour.

That's what we called ours...and ours was longer than an hour.

yes it's still called a CH, not CH1/2

Interesting. Where do you note the cocktail hour? On my reception card I just have it starting at 7pm. I didn't put CH 7-8? hmmm....

Eh, just call it call CH, with Reception to follow. If anyone really notices 30 minutes difference, then they wouldn't be happy no matter what you give them.

Sure! Mine is a half hour with hours do hovers- you know what those are! And they call it a cocktail hour- i don't know why- I call it butler service.

yes. mine was 1 1/2 hour too and it was called cocktail hour
