Wedding Party Dinner ??

fh and i would like to have a dinner for the bridal party to meet. most of our friends have not met each other. my bro is not part of the bridal party, but he will be an usher. and fh's niece (10 or 11 years old) will be a jr bridesmaid.

this is not an engagement party, it's really just a venue for the wedding party to meet each other and a mini thanks for being a part of the wedding.

should we also invite my bro and the jr bridesmaid (which means her parents would prob have to be invited to)?

any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Wedding Party Dinner ??

IMO...yes, invite your bro and the jr bridesmaid. What a great idea to a GTG?

Re: Wedding Party Dinner ??

I'd invite them (if it's just a dinner as opposed to going out for drinks). FH wanted to do the same thing but, we can't get everyone in the same place at the same time!

Re: Wedding Party Dinner ??

I think if you didn't want to invite the jr bm you might want to do something like going out for drinks...but I think you should inivte both of them.

Re: Wedding Party Dinner ??

My brother did something like this and invited the wedding party and parents. It was a great way for everyone to meet but more intimate than an engagement party. I agree that you should invite them.

Re: Wedding Party Dinner ??

If its for the bridal party then yes because a Jr. BM is part of the BP and probably your brother too - although Im nottoo sure of the difference btw an usher and a groomsman - i thougt the 2 were interchangeable?
