Past Brides: Changing Your Name
Did you order the brides' name change kit? If not, what website did you work off of?

i just kind of did it. anything that had myname on it, i changed.call the credit card company, tell them u got married, they change it with no problem
same for insurance company- and when u combine your insurance, it is cheaper!
Go to the dmv
go to social security
go to the banks and change yrou name - it is so easy

You don't need any name change kit, it's a waste of money. Just go to the DMV and SS to start the process. Then change everything else after you've got those 2 done.No, you don't need your new SS card to go to the DMV.

No, you don't need your new SS card to go to the DMV.
Thanks so much. I originally heard you had to have the new card first. You do need an official copy of your marriage license w/the raised seal to go to SS office, right? Do you get one mailed to you automatically, or do you have to request one?
