Awesome PAST Fashion Trend of the Day - Monday

Off the shoulder sweatshirts - a la Jennifer Beals style.

Instructions I found:

Cut of the sleeves of your dads old swetshirt. It can't be a hoodie. Then wear the sweatshirt of the shoulder with a brightly colored tank top and mathcing spandex.

File this under: Things I would SOOOO want to come back. Too awesome for words, plus comfy, plus Flashdance. Need I say more?

I do remember attempting this look by simply pulling my shirt off the shoulder - didn't quite have the same effect, but I was about 8, so I'm gonna give myself a break

Cool! I see babydoll dresses are the favorite trend of the past, and slap bracelets didn't get much lovin (despite their awesome coolness and weapon potential).

Slaps were not only cool and had 'awesome weapon potential', but they were also quite economical!!!

My trademark at the age of like 8 was to wear my shirt tied to one side with a scrungie or one of those buckles and OF COURSE a huge puffy ponytail to one side tied with a very cool shoestring or deflated balloon barrette!
