Still whining about straight-leg jeans coming back in style...
Its really p!ssing me off. We went through, what? 10 years? of people saying OMG straight leg jeans were SOOO unflattering.. everyone's legs looked like stuffed sausages.. bootleg jeans are flattering on everyone! Everyone looks great in bootleg jeans!!Now they are saying to toss them! I know I brought this up last month but Im still not over it!!!
Im, sadly, hoping Oprah gets on the case.. she had so many shows with those British ladies telling EVERYONE to wear bootcut jeans....
Can't believe I brought up Oprah.....

Agreed...I have very large hips so my bottom half looks like a V in those jeans. Hate is a strong word but I hate straight leg and tapered jeans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Please I have like a 27 inch inseam which translates into 'munchkin legs.' I cannot and will not wear flats and straight-leg jeans. The last thing I need to do is create and even shorter appearance

The funny part is even the girls I know that can wear those jeans aren't wearing them b/c they are not comfortable. I mean, even me: I'm a size 4 or a 6 depending on the store (which really annoys me, why does it change?!) but I could, if I wanted to, wear those jeans and they look good on me (I've tried them on recently at Gap) but they are not comfortable AT ALL!! I just feel so 'constricted'. The jeans that are bootleg or whatever you want to call them are MUCH more flattering whether you are a 2 or a 22!! So I'm wearing what works for me no matter what.We need to get Oprah on our side!!!! Well, you know what? Recently Oprah had the What not to Wear people on her show and they totally bashed the new 'capris' that were out-- the board shorts (I guess that is what they are called) that end right above the knee and they are straight all the way down!! They were the worst-- they made everyone look stumpy!!! So I was happy that they denounced them b/c they seemed to be EVERYWHERE when I went shopping!!

Heaven's no I won't wear them either! Minus the fact that everyone who wears them looks sooo top heavy, they make my feet (size9) look enormous!!!

Stacy from What Not To Wear says that if you participated in a trend the first time around, then in all liklihood, you shouldn't be doing it when it 'comes back'. Makes sense for me; at 33, my thighs and I have absolutely no business wearing jeans that I wore when I was 14! No one wants to see that, I guarantee!

Your not the only one, I am too! They are made so differently today, not completely strtched material. I cant wait to get a pair.
And for those ladies that still like their bootcuts i read in People mag that you dont have to toss your bootcuts.
