NWR - Medical Coverage Question

I mailed in my paperwork to get onto DH's medical plan about 2-3 weeks ago and havent heard anything. I would REALLY like to go to the doctor but havent received my card yet. Can I still go to the doctor and have them call the insurance company to verify my coverage? Because technically my coverage should be retroactive to our wedding day, right? Anyone know what I should do???

Yes you can go to the Dr.
He should call his HR department and ask them what you should do. Ususally, you will mail the ins. co your bill and then they would reimburse you.

You should have your DH talk to his HR person...also if you call the insurance company they will give you an auth number that the dr.'s office can use for billing.

thanks! i just got off the phone with the insurance co and they confirmed that i am covered!! woohoo!! they gave me my member and group #'s and even offered to call and make the appointment for me! thanks for the advice!!!
