Post THOMAS KNOELL hair pieces and hair combs please

I'm thinking about getting the Grace comb from Thomas Knoell . I know its on the expensive side and unfortunately i live too far away to go to the store itself to see some pieces... so i need a little help girls.

Is it worth it? Do any of you have any pictures you can post? I'm thinking of having my hair half up with the comb in the back. Would that look okay or is it something that should sit on top in the front?

Re: please post Thomas Knoell hair pieces and hair combs

Here is mine. His pieces are gorgeous. And it can be a piece you keep forever and maybe even pass down to your daughter (if you have one) because they look like vintage headpieces. It would look beautiful any way you put it. That comb you posted will sparkle more than you see in that picture. The crystals and black diamonds really reflect light beautifully.

I don't know what to do girls. i'm tempted, but what if it doesn't go with my dress. My dress has more crystals than anything.

Re: Post THOMAS KNOELL hair pieces and hair combs please

Headpieces are not the only thing he offers. You can get hair pins, a hair band or just order some earrings that will make your dress 'POP.'

He has headpieces that are made with crystals only, pearls only, black diamonds (which is what you see in my pic), etc. He can customize something just for you. I think there were some other brides that were going to the salon to see some of his work. Maybe you can ask someone to take a picture of the actual piece in the store.

Either way you can't go wrong. But if you're afraid you won't like it than I would say hold off on buying the comb. You dress is simple and classic. Any beautiful headpiece would accentuate it really well.

Thanks! I think i'm going to just hall a*s up to Manhasset and check the place out. I can't see spending all that $$$ without seeing it in person. It just stinks that it will take 2 hours to get there!

Anyone else have pics though??? I like seeing how the pieces look on.

Oh I LOVE Thomas Knoell's stuff. I would ABSOLUTELY go up there if I thought I could afford it. You should treat yourself Ali! That comb is GORGEOUS and it can be an heirloom... one day you can hand it to your daughter as her something Old...

I think CaMacho used one of his pieces. Check out her review!

You're too funny!

Yeah i think i'm definitely going to go up there and see what happens and i might treat myself. The way i figure it... i'm wearing $20 flip flops and i'm not spending the money on a veil... so why not?

My only concern is that this is quite fancy and my dress is quite simple. Do you think they'll clash so to speak (dress in album)?

Re: Post THOMAS KNOELL hair pieces and hair combs please

They will NOT clash! It can be your fancy girl thing! They are MEANT to go together... check it:

My favorite outfit is my $300 cashmere sweater my mom gave me paired with an old faded pair of jeans... why? Because you don't EXPECT to see them together... but it works. They play off of each other so well...

It's like a Kobe Beef Hamburger... an anomaly that works!

You can be a Mimosa! Orange Juice and Champagne - they don't sound like a match... but together they make breakfast a whole lot better!

Here is a bride with one on - her name is Gabriella. You can also look at CrescentBride06's album to see hers.

Re: Post THOMAS KNOELL hair pieces and hair combs please

For TWOTY I wore Destiny. It's a beautiful headband style headpiece. (It's the one on the bottom of the pic below.)

Not only does Tom do AMAZING work... Raquel & Thomas are the most down to earth, sweetest people around. They're one of a kind in the wedding industry...kind of like Ron & Liz.

Here are pictures from The Wedding of the Year - click on the link for the 2006 Slideshow for pics of the Destiny Headpiece.LINK - TWOTY

Re: Post THOMAS KNOELL hair pieces and hair combs please

Definitely meet with Thomas... and bring a pic of your dress. His pieces are so amazing in person and they photograph beautifully. My dress was a ballgown, but it was pretty simple... only had beading in the waist area. I think one of his pieces would look great with your dress!
(Thanks for posting those pics tuti!)

Here's one of me in full attire:
