Picked out our menu for our Crescent wedding today!!! Wanna see???

We met with Denise, and she was SO nice to work with!! My FH and parents got to sample some of the hors d'oeuvres (YUMMY coconut shrimp, crabcakes, lambchops, chicken in peanut sauce, etc.). LOVE the Crescent! It was an eh kind of day and the view was STILL wonderful!!!!! I got some homework to take home (table plans, favor lists, guest lists, etc.) - and it just all seems that much more REAL now! Here's everything we picked:

Champagne/Strawberry Reception (3:30-4:30)

Cocktail Hour (4:30-6)
Passed Hors D'Oeuvres:

Baby Lamb Chops with Roasted Garlic Mint Sauce
Potato Pancakes with Apple Sauce and Sour Cream
Coconut Shrimp with Caribbean Salsa
Mini Maryland Crabcakes with Herb Dijon
Sushi (California Rolls, Spicy Tuna Rolls and others)
Jumbo Shrimp with Spicy Cocktail Sauce
Pigs in a Blanket
Baked Clams Oregenatta
Chicken Satays with Peanut Sauce

Italian Antipasto Station with our monogram ice sculpture as centerpiece

Carving Station with Marinated Sirloin Steak and Peppercorn Loin of Pork

Pasta Station with Plum Tomato and Basil and Penne a la Vodka - served with Eggplant Rollatini and Garlic Knots

Mexican Station - Make your own fajitas and nachos with seasoned chicken and beef, pick de gallo, salsa verde and guacomole, diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, sour cream and olives - FROZEN MARGARITAS!

Reception (6-10)
Appetizer/Salad Combo:
Fresh Mozzarella with Beefsteak Tomato and Roasted Red Peppers - Tri-Colored Field Greens Tossed with Balsaic Vinaigrette served with baked parmesan cheese crouton

Dinner Choice of:
Filet Mignon with roasted sweet garlic cream
Pecan Crusted Salmon
Chicken Breast stuffed with mozzarella and spinach

Dessert:
Chocolate Wedding Cake with White Chocolate Mousse and Raspberry Infusion - White Buttercream on the outside with our monogram on it. This is what our cake will look like:



Assorted Pastries, Cookies and Chocolate Dipped Berries on each table

Ice Cream Sundae Station (!!)

Cordials with International Coffee Bar, including Espresso and Cappuccino, cognacs and brandy, Coffee and Tea Service

Interesting note for Crescent brides... if you're doing bathroom baskets, no Advil or Tylenol allowed in them since they serve alcohol. Good to know!

definitely! My favs were the crabcakes and the coconut shrimp. My parents loved the potato pancakes!

I know they normally don't 'do tastings', but I made them promise me one before I booked, so they said they would do it when we did the menu. It was only for the hors d'eourves, which they brought up from whatever event was going on while we were there yesterday. One of the other things were these strawberry mousse things, which I wasn't crazy about, and which Denise said she doesn't recommend.

are you kidding?? Crash away! When I booked there in May '05, anytime I saw the word 'Crescent' on these boards, I got SO excited!!!!!! It's rare, so you can crash ANYTIME!!!! We Crescent brides have to feed off each other since we don't get too many posts about our amazing place!!!!

Yeah, we didnt get the strawberry mousse things either. We went with a lot of seafood and meat hor deourves.

The food is phenomenal. The Crescent is great b/c your attendant will bring samples of all the cocktail food to the bridal suite so you and your DH can enjoy the food AND have some alone time together. For the entree, DH and I were able to sample all 3 dishes and they were great. Our wedding cake was vanilla cake with chocolate mousse and raspberry infusion. It was delicious. They also gave us a bunch of desserts to take home-soooo good. IMO, you won't be disappointed with the food or service at the Crescent.
