NWR: Interview for Internship Site

I have an interview tomorrow for an internship site. I don't think I have to get as professionally dressed up like in a suit for a reg. job interview, but do you think nice pants and a top/sweater will be good?

Re: NWR: Interviews?

I always think it is better to overdress and be conservative on an interview than underdress. I would wear a suit.

Me too!1 Fh went for a job at home depot and they gave him the job on the spot and said they were tired of people coming in unprofessional. I'd wear a suit.

Re: NWR: Interviews?

I usually try to wear a button-up shirt and nice pants that look like I'm missing my jacket. That or a skirt. My FIL always says to dress for the job you want, not the one you've got.

Re: NWR: Interviews?

I missed the part that this was an internship and not a real job interview. In that case, I think a nice pair of slacks and button down shirt should be fine.

Good Luck!!

Re: NWR: Interview for Internship Site

I always wear suit pants and nice blouse. Sometimes not the jacket depending on how cold it is.

I agree. I manage a fitness center and had an intern come in a sweat outfit. That's fine once you work here, but an interview is an interview and you never know who you will meet or what lies down the road. You only get 1 shot at rocking a 1st impression!
