oh my friend nicole had an awesome one-- i have it saved in the program at home. i'm at work now, i'll try to remember to post it once i get home!

Here is mine:
We remember our grandparents who could not be with us today. Through the years their comfort and wisdom have helped to shape our lives. They are here today smiling down on us and watching over us to ensure a wonderful ceremony and a long enduring life together. We love them with all our hearts and they will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

You know the one I used (I wanted it short) but these were others I had saved, although I have no author names for any of them

Our was simply:

'In Loving Memory...'

...with nothing else after it. My father's name was the only one on the page and being that his passing was so soon before the wedding, we wanted to keep it simple as to not mix a happy occasion with a sad one. That is what he would have wanted.

thank you for posting these...they're all beautiful and have me tearing up while I'm sitting here at work!!

'autumn rain' is the verse we picked for the memoriam cards at my father's funeral....I might use it again in our programs...but I don't want to have everyone crying!!

In the mean time, until i get home, I have one that was right here on my desk and I almost forgot all about it. It's pretty simple (short and sweet) but really nice...

I think all of those sayings are beautiful. I think for my dad we're going to have something like this:

The Bride's bouquet is dedicated in loving memory of ......

Something to that effect.

We used this for a church wedding:

Today we remember and honor our loved ones who have passed,
Whose presence is greatly missed today.
As the light of Christ shines in our hearts,
a candle burns in their memory.

(and then listed names)

absolutely-- if you tweak it a bit then it'll be perfect-- i liked the idea of changing him to they a lot-- and then everyone at the wedding wears the angel pins all night-- it's extremely touching!
