i had my first dress fitting yesterday...

i had my first dress fitting yesterday...
at fantasia bridal. and for the record, even though there are signs up all over about not taking pics, they let us
my dress fit the same as when i got it, thank goodness - i was worried. they don't have to do much to it at all... just take it in a bit on the sides and do the bustle. one thing i was very mad about though... the way my dress is, the edging is scalloped at the bottom so they can't take it up at the bottom. but the embroidery in the middle is attached to the under layer so they can't take it up there either!! i got my dress at david's bridal. the seamstress at fantasia asked if david's told me that the length wouldn't be able to be altered, and measure me for it. NOPE!! THANK GOOODNESS it was just a touch long, so the seamstress attached a layer of crinoline underneath, to bring it up just so in the front and then it was perfect. or i could have just gotten shoes with another 1/2 inch on the heel but i didn't want to do that. and shouldn't have to. yet another reason why i HATE david's bridal. love my dress and wouldn't trade it for the world but it just made me 
so ladies, it's something to think about... because it never even crossed my mind. i just figured it's be able to be altered like any other dress. obviously, a good bridal store will be honest and explain these things to you. just make sure if you go to a place like david's, you ask these kinds of questions. because if i was any shorter, i would have been having a VERY bad day yesterday.next fitting is sept 30th. woo-hoo!! pics in my album (sorry i'm not smiling and they're a bit blurry!)
