Permanent French nails in Nassau????

I think acrylic is the best??? I'm a little confused about what I want. I have heard that UV is expensive, my place wants $90...

I have seen some of your nails on here SO could you post pics and tell me what you have and if you like it??? I am so sick of getting a manicure constantly because of chipped polish!!

Re: Permanent French nails in Nassau????

Sorry dear! I use UV and LOVE it! I go to Angel Tips in Oceanside on Long Beach Road. I don't know how much I pay but I know it's not $90.00!

edit: by the way, it lasts up to 3 weeks b4 you need a fill in and the clear coat (last coat) hardens so the polish will never come off or chip!

Re: Permanent French nails in Nassau????

Acryllic is really strong - but the so is the new UV gel nails. Most perople with the acryllic permanent french still get them polished, but with the UV french - you do not need polish because they stay so shiny. Im a manicurist - Ill fm you a great place.

Re: Permanent French nails in Nassau????

Jericho Nails in floral park does a good job.
They are in line as far as price with other places.
i think 70 for a set and then 30 for a fill.

Re: Permanent French nails in Nassau????

UV or gel nails aren't as strong as acrylic but they're also less toxic and lets ur nailbed breathe. i got gel nails done in asia in august and they are amazing. they're still on my nails now, haven't chipped and are strong as anything. don't let salons fool you into getting gel and they start putting powder on you. *anything* that involves powder is *not* gel! an exception to that is when acrylic is placed on top of a clear gel layer to create patterns. gel, like acrylic come in a variety of different colors and you can make cool patterns but your nail stays transluscent looking. i'm not sure if that wave has caught on in the US yet but i got gel using acrylic green tips for my nails.

here are more gel designs:

Re: Permanent French nails in Nassau????

i just had to rant~ recently went to get UV gel refills at Chelsea nails and they totally screwed up my nails! the gel didn't cure well under the UV light and i don't know what kind of gels they were using but they are starting to detach from my fingernails and leaving air pockets underneath! i was really looking forward to getting these refills too

UV nails absolutely should not turn yellow at all (if done properly). my feat in trying to find a good UV nails salon tho has not been fruitful. i really miss the girl that did my nails in hong kong

I just reread this post. I am extremely picky about my nails and I can tell you that I have none of the complaints anyone has mentioned. If you live near O'side try it out. Annie or Rosie are the best. Right now my nails haven't been filled in 3 weeks bc I have been sick and they look fine. Not ratty or anything. They just look like I need a fill in but they are not lifting or anything. Give it a shot!
