'day-of' makeup questions...
did you girls get regular makeup done or airbrushed?and let me ask, because i haven't a clue, what is 'airbrushed makeup'? - does it look differently than regular makeup? what are the pros and cons of each? and can you girls post some pics of airbrushed makeup vs regular?
also, what did your day of makeup cost? and when you went for a trial, what did you pay?
thanks!!

Re: 'day-of' makeup questions...
I used airbrushed.I had regular professional make-up done before.
airbrush is... well, airbrushed on your face with an airbrush tool (it's sprayed on your face).
I have found a tremendous difference between both style. It's flowless.
It lasted for 10 hours and stayted the same. I loved my make-up and I am glad I went airbrushed.
I have seen people with regular make up that also lasted very long.
I suggest getting a trial to see the difference.

I didn't go for a trial yet. But I am getting regular makeup from my usual hairstylist. She is charging me $35.

Re: 'day-of' makeup questions...
I used airbrush for my wedding and it was amazing. My skin looked perfect and lasted all night long. All of my bms did it too. At a friends wedding I had my make-up done the regular way and I looked like a clown...... the only down side is that it can get expensive. I used Jackie from Imakeupu.com and she charged $95 a person for airbrush but is was worth it!

Re: 'day-of' makeup questions...
I had regular makeup, done by Oksana (an LIW vendor). Airbrushed looks really perfect, but IMO it's a bit too perfect and 'made up.' I wanted to look more natural (esp. next to DH who obviously wasn't made up at all), so I went with traditional makeup. Whichever you choose (or before you choose) go for a trial. A good makeup artist will not make you look like a clown and will take into account that you will be photographed all day and will give you makeup that will look beautiful in person and in pictures. There are pics in my album.

Re: 'day-of' makeup questions...
I got regular make-up from Tracy at Maximus (Sourch Mall). She was phenomenal. It's was severely expensive, though, because she came to my synogogue at 6:30 in the morning. I got a free make-up trial from registering at Fortunoff's, then they hooked me in and charged $175 for day of, plus $150 for the use of the salon. But, it was 100% worth it.This picture is of me at the END of the day after i took my dress off. My make-up still looks great!

I had regular makeup, but with a tinted moisturizer instead of foundationsome people swear by airbrushed makeup- I never had an interest in trying it because I did not want foundation on my face

I had the airbrush. it is very light and hid all of my skin flaws. I used Marie Katz and she was amazing.

I had a regular trial with Oksana. I loved the regular makeup. She does not do airbrushing.

Re: 'day-of' makeup questions...
I had Mia from b-lounge do one trial with 'tradition' application and one with airbrush. I felt having hte same person do both trials would give me the best idea of which I liked better. I liked the airbrush better. I normally do not wear ANY makeup, I felt the airbrushed looked more 'real' that the traditional (and it shined less on me) It also didn't seem to smudge - since i never wear makeup I wasn't used to not touching my face and all, the airbrush just held up better.
