Spinoff to my hair &makeup price thread.. is it significantly cheaper to go to them rather than them come to us?

Anyone price what it costs to get hair & makeup done at a salon instead of having them travel?

Never really looked into it, but I am sure it is cheaper.

I've found that it's cheaper. Not so much for the BMs but, for the bride, definitely.

well i have paid like $70 - $80 for hair in a salon

and about $100 for hair done at the bride's house . . .

for me the difference is worth it - esp. since you aren't supposed to tip if they come to your house. .. which i do anyway, lol)

i never got my makeup done - so i am clueless about that!

It's probably a little cheaper but is it worth it for you to drive around and deal with traffic and other stuff, when you can just sit back and relax and have them come to you.

so many things can be stressful on your day, I wouldn't want to be driving around to save a few bucks...
but that's just me...

i got my make up done at a salon and it was 45 bucks

I am having someone come to me on the day of my wedding because I dont want to be running around long island ......i am paying 150 for myself and if my bridesmaids want it done its like 65 dollars for reg make up and extra 20 more if they want airbrushing

as for hair...same thing i suppose. Its 150 for the bride and 80 bucks for each bridesmaids if they want it done

i think you can get it at the salon for maybe65-75 depending on what you want done?

going to the salon is cheaper- my salon is charging the girls 65 for hair & make up think 50 but for me its alot cheaper than having these vendors come to my house where they will charge me $150 each. i can also have the salon girls come to my house since i've been going to them for a few years now.

it depends. for me, they would have had to open early on a sunday morning, which they would have charged A LOT extra for, so it would have wound up being the same or even more to go to the salon.
