one hour limo?

i need a limo just to drive us from the hotel to the reception hall - a half an hour drive.

is it unheard of to rent a limo for just ONE HOUR?

all i keep seeing is 3 hour wedding packages.
i don't need champagne or a red carpet and i could care less if the driver is wearing a tux or not.

is this unheard of?? has anyone done this?

THANKS IN ADVANCE~!!

Re: one hour limo?

we did pick up-drop off service. they still charge you way too much because its for a wedding, but yes, you can do that.

Re: one hour limo?

I did a drop off only for my wedding. Hicksville to Roslyn.

I used All Star. We did not mention the word 'wedding'. Since it was at 8:15am, it was easy for them. They were really nice.

My wedding was on a Saturday but the pick-up/drop off was at 8:15am

AND NEVER say it's for a wedding... we said we had to go to an event/party. Snd stick to that.

Some limo cie kept asking my DH if it was for a wedding... DH kept saying party... In short, DH hang up on them.

Re: one hour limo?

I think you will not have any problems renting a limo for an hour, although they will probably try to sell you packages, and this and that, but you can pay for an hour and get an hour.

Re: one hour limo?

i just got a lower rate from Royal Luxury - has anyone heard of/used them? (my search on the forum only pulled up 2 ppl who've used them)

A 20 passenger Escalade for one hour for $400 plus 20% service charge.

Serenity quoted me $425 for a 18 passenger Hummer.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS for all your help.

Re: one hour limo?

We rented limo's to just drive us from my house to the reception hall. Apparently it is pick up and drop off.....it cost us about $800.00 We weren't aware that for just pick up and drop off it cost that much. I thought the limos would stick around so we could take pictures with them but they gave us a really hard time. All I have to say is read your contract carefully!

Re: one hour limo?

Try Royalty Limos. But i'm sure any limo company you go with will try to be flexable.

Actually that was not All Star that asked but another 'Well known' limo cie here.

We booked All Star because they did not give us any problems. But they did say that the pick up/ drop off was easy for them due to the fact that it was early in the morning.

Lower quotes for Hicksville to Roslyn were about $125-$200.

6-8 passenger limo

Re: one hour limo?

tell them you just want the pick up and drop off and NOT the wedding package. be stern with them b/c they'll try to tell you the only do wedding packages for weddings, etc. haggle with them and most companies will give in.
